Shipping art is work, but it doesn't have to be torture. You may not know it, but I started out in the art business almost twenty years ago shipping for a gallery in Scottsdale. Over the years I have shipped, or been involved in shipping, thousands of works of art. During that time I've learned a thing or two. Next Tuesday evening, I am giving a free broadcast where I will share everything I know about shipping paintings. (I'll give another broadcast in December on shipping sculpture and glass.) This broadcast will include the following information: The supplies you need and where to get them Critical tools and how to use them Safely packing paintings Which carrier you should use A dirty secret I learned about shipping large paintings I will also leave time for a question and answer period so I can answer your burning questions about shipping your paintings. The broadcast is free, but attendance is limited, so sign up today. What have you learned through your experience shipping paintings? Do you have tips or tricks you've learned, perhaps through painful experience? Email me (Jason@xanadugallery.com) and I just might share your tips during the broadcast. Your subject line should read "Shipping Tips". See you next Tuesday! Jason J.
