Xanadu Gallery Sell Your Art Like a Pro | Announcing a new Online Workshop from Xanadu Gallery

Wouldn't it be great if art sold itself? It doesn't. If you've tried to sell your work at a show, attended a gallery opening, or attempted to sell your work from your studio, you know that's true. Selling art takes effort and skill. I've been in the gallery business for over 18 years and owned my own gallery in Scottsdale for almost 10 years. During that time, I've learned a great deal about selling art. I've learned that while selling art is similar in many ways to selling any other product, it also poses unique selling challenges.  I would like to invite you to join me for one of my upcoming online workshops where I will share techniques with you that will help you to become the best possible salesperson for your art.

During this intensive, 2-hour online workshop, I will share with you the entire selling process we employ in our gallery when making a sale. I will guide you through every step-from introducing yourself to a client to creating a compelling dialogue, to closing a sale and beyond. I will share negotiating techniques to help everyone come out a winner and I will give you follow-up procedures for when you aren't able to close a sale on the spot.

Selling art is a skill, and like any other skill you can increase your success by taking a systematic and consistent approach. I look forward to having you join me for one of the upcoming online sessions as you take your art salesmanship to a higher level.
I used your suggestion to invite two interested buyers at Maple & Main Gallery's opening in Chester, CT, last night to buy my paintings. They did! I sold two pieces last night! Wow!

During the workshop you will learn to:

1.    Start off on the right foot. The first five seconds can make all the difference when you are interacting with a buyer. Make sure you are giving the right first impression.

2.    Learn your client's names. No more excuses - it's time to become a master of names. I will share with you techniques to help even the most artistic of minds capture a name like a steel trap.

3.    Offer the client an opportunity to buy. If you aren't giving the client a chance, they are never going to buy. Make sure you are saying the right thing at the right moment to close the sale.

4.    Negotiate like an expert. Selling art is not like selling used cars, but there will, inevitably, be times when you need to negotiate with a client. Negotiation is a delicate process, and I will teach you how to expertly navigate a negotiation and make sure that both you and your client come out winners.

5.    Follow up persistently. If you aren't able to close some sales on the spot, that's OK - you can still secure a sale by consistently and persistently following up, so make sure you are doing this for every client. Some clients need a little time to get to a point where they are ready to buy, but if you don't follow up they are likely to simply forget about you and your work.

6.    Create Fans. The sale isn't the end of the sales process, it is only the beginning. Turn buyers into collectors with post-sale follow up and systematic communication.

And much more . . .

Learn to sell your artwork like a gallery professional. I will be sharing tips and techniques I've acquired in 18+ years of gallery experience, including everything I share with my sales staff.

If you are a painter, sculptor, fine-art photographer, jeweler, gallery salesperson, or art promotor you will benefit from this 2 hour workshop.
