by Xanadu Owner Jason Horejs
A couple of weeks ago we opened our show for Jeanie Thorn and John Horejs. The show has been a great success in terms of the number of clients who have come to see the show and sales.
Last week Xanadu Gallery director, Elaine, sold one of Thorn's larger pieces from the show, as well as an 12? x 12? piece, to a local client. On Saturday, I had the opportunity to deliver and install the artwork in the client's home.
I don't get to deliver and install every piece of artwork we sell locally (sometimes the client takes the piece home themselves, and sometimes one of my staff will handle the installation) but I love doing it when I get the chance. There is something very gratifying about seeing where the art will live, and spending time in a client's home (or office) is a great way to strengthen a relationship.
Over the years, I've made hundreds, if not thousands of these kinds of deliveries and installations, and I've developed a pattern I find effective. Here, I share that pattern with you.
